I had a completely different blog post ready for you guys today. Today I was going to announce my first product, and show you where you could purchase it!
Unfortunately, Amazon had different plans for me. As I was finalizing my launch strategy this week, I noticed that my Amazon listing had been taken down. Last week I had shipped Amazon my initial inventory, and on last Friday it was showing that my inventory was slowly getting added into Amazon's system and my listing was active.
Today I had plans to blast social media with the announcement, and this morning I spent a majority of it double checking to make sure everything was set up properly to produce a great launch. Then, when I went to double check my listing, I noticed that Amazon was no longer showing it as live. I called up Amazon this morning and was informed that due to the nature of my product the listing had been pulled, and my product had been restricted from selling. WTH...
While I was product researching, I did my due diligence before I sourced this product, and Amazon themselves said that I would be approved to sell. Unless they've changed their policies in the meantime, I should still be able to sell it, but at this point who knows. There are currently multiple sellers on Amazon selling this product, so I'm hoping my listing will soon be live again.
So, as it stands; best case scenario Amazon makes an exception for my product. Worst case; I ship inventory back to my apartment and work my ass off to sell through the inventory myself. Either way, I'm not freaking out quite yet. No matter what happens I'm going to keep pushing forward, because that's all I can do. Stay tuned.
