When I first started this blog, I created it with the intent of being as transparent as possible in my life as an entrepreneur. I think I've done a pretty good job of conveying the struggles I've been enduring, the things I've been learning, and sharing more about myself in general.
I will continue to do so, as I live my journey to become debt free and create a life that I'm proud of. I've mentioned this in previous posts, but I feel as I finally have a vision that's in focus, and I attribute most of that to the fact I have been clear with myself what my values and goals are.
I feel that throughout April, I grew more as an individual in one month than I do in most years. I feel happier. My mood and confidence have completely changed. And I feel like I am finally able to tackle anything I put my mind towards. I now have a daily routine that has helped me become more productive. I completed reading over 8 books for the month by finding time to do so.
In addition to becoming more productive and using my time efficiently, I have also gained a tremendous amount of confidence.
In the past, I would wonder "What would they think?" before I ever made a decision to create, do something I was passionate about, or post something on social media. I'm proud to say...I no longer give a shit.
I was too worried about fitting in with the crowd, that I changed who I was and lost most of my originality in the process. I'm no longer focused on trying to fit in and following the crowd, and it's been absolutely liberating.
If someone doesn't like what I have to say; that's fine. I'm okay with that. They can easily just exit out of my website and never again return. Coming to the realization that I'm never going to please everyone has really given me the boost and motivation I've needed to start projects where I've held myself back in the past.
One of these projects was creating an e-book. So, I'm proud to say that this month I started creating my very first e-book that I'll give away for free sometime in May. I won't give away any detail on what it will be about just yet, so you'll have to wait to and see!
My biggest step this month has been the creation of the blog. It was always something I wanted to create, and I just never pulled myself together to do it. It's been just over a few weeks since I hit publish on my first post, and I'm so happy with the response I've been receiving.
My goal was to have over 1,000 visitors my first month, and as you can see from my analytics below, I far exceeded that number and it hasn't even been a full month. Again, as I learn how to grow my blog traffic, I want to share with you the process.
This upcoming month I have set a lot of goals for myself. My focus for this month is content creation. This encompasses content for all my social media channels and this blog. I'm trying to set the right amount of goals each month, and I've found that setting ten goals is a pretty good number for me.
I used to go overboard with the number of goals I'd set for myself each month, and would often find myself overwhelmed and not completing half of them. By setting ten goals ranging from low to high difficulty, it's allowed me to complete most, if not all of them which leaves me feeling even more motivated and inspired to keep going.
The goals that I set are ones that reinforce my yearly goals. They're crafted to ensure upon completion they move me towards accomplishing my larger goals.
I feel as though for once in my life, I am finally clear with what I want. Finding clarity has been huge in determining what I work towards accomplishing each month. Everything I do, I now do with intent.
Do you ever feel like you're lost, and have trouble finding clarity with what you want out of life? Before you set any goals, I highly recommend you work your hardest at developing some insight into what you truly want in your life. Once you have clarity, you can become laser focused on planning, and do what you need to do in order to create that life for yourself.
The following list is my TEN monthly goals I'll be working on completing this month. Each of them is easily measurable and chosen with the bigger picture in mind.
